Yea Right Kate..You Love Every Minute Of It!
"Before this, I'd never stood on line at the grocery store, looked at the people on the cover of magazines, and thought about what they're going through," she tells PEOPLE. "I'd never thought, 'Oh my god, this is totally doing them in.' But now, I understand what they live with: Everywhere you go you're being stalked, you're being followed – it's hell, on the cover of a magazine."
Kate admits she's often been an easy target for those who want to make her out to seem like a monster. "In the first two and a half years that we were doing the show (Jon & Kate Plus Eight), I felt very ugly towards fans," she says. "The gawking, that sort of response creeped me out. I was not willing or ready to accept what you get back when you put your life out there."
But over time, Kate learned to embrace the attention. "At some point, I turned around and I realized, 'Okay, people are pulling for us, the feel inspired by us, they love us. It clicked: without the fans there is no show, without the show, there is no job."
A Breaking Point
Though the Gosselins have gotten used to interest in their lives, the scrutiny of Jon and Kate has become increasingly intense since reports of the couple's alleged infidelities hit the newsstands. It’s tough to escape when the job that keeps their family afloat is also keeping them in the tabloid glare – and even the tough-minded mama has her breaking point."It's so scary," she says of the lengths to which some go to cover her family. "It's like one of those movies where you have to change your identity and go underground. I've been saying, 'Let's find a country where our show doesn't air, and let's just go there until this all dies.' I have to laugh about this, or else I'll cry. It's a matter of, when will they stop?"
No matter what might be said about her, Kate says if anyone really wants to see her bare her fangs, they only have to go after her kids. "I don't want them dragged into this. It kills me," she says. "I'm far from perfect, but I've started to prioritize what is important, what has to change, what I can live with, and what I have to live with. My children are important. My attitude is important. My marriage is important, and though I don't know where that's going right now, I know I can definitely choose my attitude. And I know that I will never give up, I will not stop, I will not fail my kids. Everything else I can't control, I'm just going to have to learn to live with it."
THE MONSTER!
The new issue of Us Weekly reports that Jon & Kate mom Kate Gosselin -- known for being short with her husband, Jon Gosselin -- is even more combative with her family and employees.
Look back at photos of Jon and Kate through the years.
Baby nurse Angela Krall, who watched the sextuplets as infants for more than a year, tells Us that the short-fused Kate fired 40 nurses and nurse's aides in the three months before she was hired.
A 2005 Associated Press story reported that a pre-TV Gosselin had petitioned the state to extend payments for Krall, whose fees were first paid by Medicaid (Jon was unemployed; Medicaid provides limited assistance to premature babies).
"Kate Gosselin said she feels society has a responsibility to help with the children, since modern medicine promotes the use of fertility drugs, which can lead to multiple births," the AP reported.

While Kate praised Krall in the same story, Krall reveals that Kate posted "demeaning" signs in every room detailing rules, and fired one woman on the spot for washing her hands in the kitchen instead of the bathroom. "Kate flipped," says Krall. "She thought it was cross-contamination."

That level of perfectionism also tore her apart from her father, Kenton Kreider, a pastor, after he gave her cribs donated by his parishioners.
"They didn't match and Kate rejected them," says a family source. "Things like that caused a rift." Krall, who says all six babies ended up with matching cribs, tells Us Kate "thought they were owed stuff. The money factor was huge."

Indeed, a now-famous Gosselin has spent 21 out of the last 30 days on the road at paid speaking engagements; after she made news last week admitting that she might leave Jon, she continued on her book tour for five days as her husband tended to the kids.

What An Idiot!

And speaking of taking things too far, Dan over at Retroblog had to kick all of those nasty Kate haters to the curb! Apparently from what I'm told, the 5 ladies got soo bad and so nasty Dan got rid of them and blocked them from his blog. The tables are finally turning, thank goodness. Its nice to know that those like Nina & Lisa K. that think they can just about say ANYTHING, are being put in their places!
I feel for all blogs that have to remove Jon & Kate topics from their blogs. I was told that even the Gymboree blog had to remove the Jon & Kate topic board because it got so heated. Why does it have to get that nasty? Could someone please tell me what kind of people can say such horrible things by hiding behind a screen name! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
It's making me even that more excited to start off fresh with this new fan site! May 18, 2009
